Prayer, Preperation and His Presence

And  He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ… Ephesians  4:12

Today was an experience of the movement of God and  the working of the Holy Spirit.  It was the first time that I attended the Full Proof Evangelist Fellowship at the East Ave Inn.  I remember praying to  the Lord this morning if He would have me to go.  While I waited, I continued to stay in prayer  and offer myself to Him.  I wanted to be  careful to follow His leading, then it dawned on me, I got up at 5:00 am and  started my devotional and communion with God, at 8:00 I began to get dressed so  that I could be out the door by 8:30.

There were only a handful of us, but a few more came  a little later.  It was beautiful.  Those who were there were ordained to be there.  These were the hearts that God needed to use  and prepare for the work that He had for each of us further in the day.  The most memorable part of the evening was spending the last hour in a circle praying.   There wasn’t an order, just whatever the Lord would have us to pray, we did.  The presence of God was truly in  the midst of the few.  I knew that I would be transformed by what I experienced in that room.  I truly thank the Lord for Dominic and Steve,  who are truly after God’s own heart.

We weren’t there with our own agendas, but were  there being about the Father’s business in hopes of applying the instructions  from the information given and allowing God to equip us for the work  ahead.  Things that cause division and debates are frivolous, prideful and arrogant and some quite presumptuous.  It is time to lay aside those things that  divide us and concern ourselves with the souls that are crying out to be
saved.  It’s not about prophesy, it’s not  about what version of the bible I am reading, it’s not about numbers; how many people came out, but about the lost soul that is still wandering aimlessly,  searching and thirsting for living water.  It’s about Jesus.

Later on in the day, I went to my home church where the Spirit of the Lord is, to take part in the Youth Praise Service.  One of the praise dancers said to me, “Sister Harmon?  Have you ever felt butterflies in your stomach?  I have to dance tonight and I’m, I’m, well uh, um…” Then I said, “Nervous?”  She said “Yeah!”  I said, “Your right where you need to be; let the Lord use you.”   And He did!!!  This dancer began to weep while praising and worshipping God in the dance.  Everyone was moved by the Spirit.  Then there was little Shantel who testified about God saying, “God is a Healer!”  Again, tears began to flood the place from the movement of God.  Lives are being changed by the presence of God and the teaching of His word.

God has shown me that I don’t have to try to direct His plan or take on assignments that He has not given me, but to be a willing vessel and show up to be used by Him.

Absolutely scientific proof that “global warming” is fraud!

It’s been a long time since I’ve had an intelligent debate with anyone, on Facebook, blogging, and real life.  I feel compelled to scientifically and mathematically rebuke anything that is not scientific or mathematical. It is correct that gravitational pull varies with the square of the distance- so does the concentration of infrared photons vibrating/spinning/traveling away from a heat source. Now the Sun, as large as it is, puts out a FINITE amount of infrared light, thus an object in a 0K vacuum will warm up to a maximum temperature. It is impossible to “warm” this object any further without an additional heat source, that is basic thermodynamics. So let us include geothermal heat.

If you broil a steak at 500F, that steak will not get hotter than 500F unless you have another hotter heat source that will raise the average ambient temperature above 500F.

Now if we extinguish the Sun, or move it far enough away, all that CO2 will reverse sublimate down to 0K and we won’t have to worry about any “toxic” carbon dioxide in our atmosphere because our planet will be covered by a layer of dry ice, frozen oxygen an frozen nitrogen. There won’t be any atmosphere because everything would be solid, it’s 0K remember. Oh, and there would not be any geothermal heat either after a while.

Thus the Sun is proven to be responsible for 100% of the Earth’s temperature, the carbon dioxide will just assume whatever temperature in its environment. The “greenhouse effect” means that infrared light that can’t escape was already there, all that means is that CO2 slows the Earth’s cooling, that is not warming, the temperature cannot go above a maximum. You need to introduce an ADDITIONAL HOTTER HEAT SOURCE to do that.

There are few stronger scientific arguments than thermodynamic ones.

Al Gore was right, the science is settled. His side lost. Why do you think he is afraid to debate Christopher Lord Monckton? The CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange) is dead, go see how much carbon futures are worth- less than a pencil. Enron tried the same scam with electricity in California, great way to rip the middle class off, and that’s all the globalists want- a few thousand elites and everybody else as slaves who cannot afford to resist or protest.

CO2 is everywhere, and that is why foreign banks want to tax it. Ever stop and think that rainwater might REMOVE some CO2 and contaminants from our atmosphere? And if plants were not getting enough CO2, vegetation would die. CO2 turns blood blue, so it is soluble. God created CO2 for a reason.

Oh, and lightning passing through O2 makes O3, it’s so much fun to teach environmentalists real science!!

On the necessity of being vigilant in the weeks and months ahead

If there is one thing the intelligence-media-education-infotainment complex is trying to convince us through the “talking trays”, is that all aspects of our society are vulnerable to any arbitrary disruption/crisis, etc. Just look at how many “crises” we have had since 9/11. First, every few years, then every year, then an oil rig blows up April 20, then May 6 the DJIA drops almost 1,000 points. Don’t think Goldman Sachs can’t drop it 2,000 points if they straddle enough puts and calls (a virtual “naked short”) or hold all buy orders, creating a selling panic. Then the Federal Reserve’s “Plunge Protection Team” will print enough digital money to stabilize the markets. And that’s just money. The banks want everyone to know who the boss is, no Fed audit, no re-enacting Glass-Steagall or the uptick rule on short-selling.

The importance of who is responsible for these manufactured crises pales in comparison to how the government responds, what prepackaged solutions/legislative agenda is  first suggested, second they try to sell it to you. Third time’s the charm, it gets RAMMED THROUGH. Usually right before Congress recesses, then you have the distraction of election propaganda when they get back, then it’s “Christmas”(Yule/Saturnalia). You have to hand it to the media, they know how to distract the public. It is also important how  and what type of propaganda is reported. Is it a new disease hoax/billion-dollar vaccine sales pitch? The media is trying to elicit the emotion of fear so that you will beg the government to protect you rather than just PROTECT YOURSELF.

Maybe some mineral-rich Third World country has nukes and won’t let inspectors in so will it be World War III? Maybe there will be another “flash crash”? Where is Bin Laden? Oh another terrorist got through TSA so they have to spend hundreds of millions on new scanners? It goes on and on.

Now the BP gusher is still playing out and there is a renewed push for a “carbon tax”/cap-and-trade scheme, which is supposed to raise gasoline and utility prices. A peaceful way of protesting this would be to UNPLUG EVERYTHING in your house. It would be nice if everyone unplugged their TV’s for one week if this happens so that every single cable channel got ZERO Nielsen ratings, a good message to send. People have to be prepared to unite and take action by protesting this way. How better to send the message to the media that we are sick of the lies and disinformation, we are sick of hearing about celebrities, we won’t pay carbon taxes if we don’t use electricity. They might not listen to you, but they will listen to a utility company if residential demand falls off a cliff.

The bottom line is that we need to be prepared to live without technology and the creature comforts if need be. If the government tries to take over the Internet, we need to be courageous and unplug our computers until they get the message. Big Brother can’t watch you if the computer is unplugged. We need to strive to be self-sufficient and help each other out. As you can plainly see, you can’t depend on the federal alphabet agencies.

So what is going to happen next or will it be a new distraction every day? As long as we don’t pay attention to what is happening to our money, it doesn’t matter. Foreign banks can steal as much money as they want. Government can steal as much money as it wants, but we’ll feel better if they explain how they really didn’t want to steal it but had to. Crises, you know, there is honor among thieves. We should be willing to pay anything (including our souls) to have our loving government protect us from outside evil. Isn’t government trying to subvert the position of God? Well are you going to PRAY or beg your goverment?

Same thing, you want something and a higher authority decides if you can have it. Who that higher authority is up to you, but my money is on God, because God loves you, the government doesn’t.

As I said, people need to start uniting against all this, not take the consumer fetal position.

Far Above Rubies

…Far Above Rubies

For who can find a virtuous woman?  For her price is far above rubies.  (Proverbs 31:10)

I was talking to my sister in Christ about marital abuse.  It was such a deep conversation due to us either being or having someone we know that have been abused by their husbands.  It took me back to my abusive marriage that almost destroyed me.  We were speaking about one of our sisters’ daughter who is in her twenties, with everything going for her, but married a controlling and to our suspicion, an abusive man.  He will not allow her to even go to a women’s conference to Long Island with the Co-Pastor and the rest of her sisters.  I became so upset when hearing it and all I could think of, “Lord, if it was my daughter…”

Both of us started thinking about what we would do if our daughters were in the same situation.  What would we say?  How would we react and would it be as far as inflicting bodily harm?  We didn’t know, but I knew that deep down, I would probably end up hurting him, physically, due to my own experiences with marital abuse. 

 I can remember, after our nights of partying, my husband, at the time, would find some reason to hurt me physically, spiritually and mentally.  His intent was entirely evil induced by drugs, alcohol, and insecurities. 

I remember the day when it happened.  He started shouting obscenities at me because I wouldn’t do what he wanted me to do and that was to go and sell my body for drugs.  I was tired of “the life” and wanted out.  I even wanted out of the marriage.  He pushed me on the couch, but what he didn’t know was that I had a knife hidden underneath the cushions.  I fell backward, and as I started to get up, I discreetly reached underneath the cushion, pulled out the knife and with the opposite hand I reached around his neck, as if to hug him and with the other hand, that held the knife, stabbed him in the back.  I was tired of being his punching bag.  As he fell to the floor, I remember saying, “You will never put your hands on me again!”  This was a drastic move, but in my mind, it was all I can do, and I wasn’t saved then.

Why did it take me so long to leave?  Why did it take me so long to stand up for myself?  I’ll tell you why, because I loved him and tried everything to make the marriage work.  I wanted my marriage to be the first and only marriage.  I didn’t want to be a part of the divorce rate statistics.  Eventually, enough was enough.

Women, we must realize that God made us with purpose.  We are the help meet (Genesis 2:20).  When God made Eve, he created her with the ability to carry life.  In the Hebrew, the name, Eve (chawwāh), means life (Genesis 3:20).  We are much a part of the original plan as man.  We are not second class citizens nor is our worth less than man.

I heard a man say that women aren’t interested in prophecy.  How do you know?  Did you ask or did you come to this conclusion because of how you see women?  Women are just as significant in prophecy as well as in God’s plan.  Consider, Mary, the mother of Jesus, Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, Deborah, who ruled Israel for 12 years.  Deborah had political authority and it was said that she governed with a mother’s heart and a soldier’s strength.  God also used women to prophecy or bring a message.

I am reminded of a wise mother who was teaching her son about finding a virtuous woman.  The word virtuous from its original tongue means wealth.  The wealth is that she cares for not only her family, but for others.  She is resourceful and a noble woman of excellence.  I read that this woman does not work to get rich, but to give to her family and to the poor.  Her husband is appreciative of her and she brings him no shame.  She compliments him, which assists in bringing him status in the community.  She is a woman of wisdom, and many speak well of her.

King Lemuel’s mother reminded him not to give his strength to women.  In those days, it was not uncommon for kings to have harems or sexually indulge with many women.  She reminded him that this destroys men.  These types of women destroy nations and kings.  She also warned not to give into strong drink or become intoxicated.  Lemuel’s mother was a virtuous woman, herself.

In my study, I found out that Lemuel means, belonging to God.  So, women, make sure that the man you want to spend the rest of your life with is a God fearing, bible believing, gentleman, raised by a virtuous mother, and most important, he belongs to God.

Absolutely incontrovertible proof that our government, BP, the corporate mainstream media, etc. are LYING about the size of the BP oil disaster!!

Let us assume that in one day that 86,400 barrels of oil erupt from the sea floor. What is so special about the number 86,400? Well if 86,400 barrels of oil enter the Gulf of Mexico in one day, then divide by 24 to get 3,600 barrels per hour,  divide by 60 to get 60 barrels per minute, or one barrel per second.

Now I want you to watch the underwater camera, does that look like it is only one barrel per second? Considering that the hydrostatic pressure of the water all by itself is over 2200 psi, and that on the Alex Jones show, Lindsey Williams estimated the wellhead pressure of the oil as 20,000-70,000 psi, it is very reasonable to assume that more than one barrel per second is escaping.

Let me put it another way: 10 barrels/sec = 864,000 barrels per day

100 barrels/sec= 8,640,000 barrels per day. How many barrels do you think are leaking per second? Multiply that by 86,400 to get how much oil is leaked in a day… then multiply THAT by the number of days (57 as of 6/16/2010).

Sounds like tens if not hundreds of millions or BILLIONS if you ask me…

Now what are the official propaganda numbers, 5000 barrels per day, then 10,000 barrels, then 20,000, then 60,000, then 125,000? If they keep multiplying, they’ll eventually get the right number. They keep changing the number because they are LYING (plus they don’t think anyone knows how to divide by 86,400 to get barrels per second).

Thus it has been mathematically proven that official estimates of the BP disaster are absurdly low. How many barrels could that rig extract in a day? Well probably a lot less than what is still leaking into the Gulf of Mexico to this day.

They can’t “cap” anything at that pressure, especially when oil is INCOMPRESSIBLE, basically hydraulic fluid, and the magma can melt anything and the sand/rock can abrade anything? It’s like a sandblaster, except a lot more pressure. Not only that, the magma, which is molten rock at thousands of degrees is hitting water at nearly freezing temperatures, sublimating/flash-boiling it to create high-pressure steam

If they try to nuke it, they risk damage to the sea floor/tsunami. BP would have an easier time if God parted the waters in the Gulf of Mexico, then all BP would have to worry about is the volcano part.

What about the oil that goes UNDER the boom? What about all the oil underwater? How long will it take this oil to circumnavigate the earth’s oceanic currents?

And Obama/Soetoro’s cap-and-trade CARBON TAXES will solve the BP disaster (right?!?!?), who needs God and Moses? Taxes plug volcanoes!! How stupid do they think we are?

Introduction

Praise the Lord, Saints!! Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Sharon.  It is my intention to write the truth and nothing but according to the word of God.  Like Jeremiah, His word is like fire shut up in my bones.  When Bernie asked me to be an author, not only was I filled with joy, but excited about what the Lord is about to do.  Let us do all to be pleasing to him.  I know that He will use me to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God and an instrument of praise.

Breaking it to us gently: How CNBC desensitizes millions of people who have lost thousands of dollars

With respect to the sudden thousand-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average on May 6, 2010, I would like to explain how networks like CNBC employ psychological warfare against their audience. The basic idea is that if the market is up and you are actually making money, watching CNBC is very entertaining. They are making you feel as though you are an insider, the women are cute (this alone has a calming effect on men), they throw around some legitimate investing terms or they play word games.

Now, on the other hand, when the market is down is when their propaganda strategy gets more interesting. When you are losing money, they substitute a metaphor for losing money, so that hopefully you’ll be thinking about something else than losing money. An example is the Wall Street slang term haircut. It is a euphemism for losing money, but hopefully you’ll be thinking about barbershops. See, it’s not so bad. You didn’t lose thousands of dollars because of market manipulation, you got a haircut, it will grow back.

The host of CNBC’s Mad Money, Jim Cramer will tell you that “the market favors the big boys” and how Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, hedge funds, pensions, etc. and even he himself can have undue influence in the stock market. Just watch the ticker tape on the screen when he mentions a company. It’s a hilarious show, he’ll dress up in a silly outfit, throw chairs around, hit the sound effect board. The point is he wants to make you feel good, even if you are losing a boatload of money. He’ll console you and tell you about how one afternoon he lost $17 million and destroyed nearly every electronic device in his office. See? Losing 10% of your retirement money isn’t so bad.

Are you beginning to see how this works?

They can use words that rhyme to throw you off- “flash crash” (for the 1000 point Dow drop), “car czar”, etc.

It’s called pacifying people, and it is a psychological warfare technique. They do everything for a reason. People end up becoming sheeple. We Americans today are so passive that if gasoline went up to $10, the greatest opposition from most people would be to say “It’s crazy”, sympathize, say “What can you do?” and pay it. Some people would love the endorphin rush of  buying $100 worth of gas with a $100 bill. How high would gas have to go before people woke up?

People behave like this because their minds are under constant assault from corporate propaganda and trivia news that is intended to DISTRACT you from the incremental erosion of your civil rights. It is all about emotionally manipulating you so that you do not challenge the sociopolitical/business/government establishment, thereby assuring insecure paranoid sociopathic megalomaniacs remain in a superior caste.

Very clever. Now everyone can go back to sleep. Foreigners are not trying to steal our nest eggs. Smile. Be Happy. You’re Rich. Go Shopping.

Are All Governments Ordained By God?

It has been a while sense I have written a blog for this page, and I am sorry for that. I have been pretty busy the last month with ministry and life. I am going to tell you from the start that many of you that read this blog will not like what it has to say. I was thinking about an amazing night of fellowship I had the other day with Mark and Crystal, a brother and sister in the Lord. We went out tracting in the inner city of Rochester for a church on Jay Street.

After a couple hours of tracting about 7:30 PM we went out to grab something to eat. By the time we left the restaurant it was 1:30 in the morning. We spent that six hours talking about different subjects in the Bible. Crystal is a remarkable young lady that loves the Lord and has a powerful hunger for truth, even if that truth goes against what she has been lead to believe. She also has this amazing insight, and she loves sharing what the Lord has showed her. I noticed that she loves to witness to people when we were out tracting. It was a pleasure tracting and fellowshipping with her.

Mark is a great brother in the Lord also, the time we spent fellowshipping it was very clear to me that he loves the Lord, and is not afraid to get out there in the front lines of this spiritual warfare we are in. I have no doubt that Mark is storing up quit a large treasure in heaven. I look forward to future times of fellowship and tracting with both of them.

This blog is about one of the subjects that came up in our six hours of fellowship, and a subject that has been brought to me quite a few times by different people over the last few months. It does not surprise me that the interest in this subject is growing. The subject is about Governments being ordained by God.

I am not going to beat around the bush, I do not believe for one second that all governments are ordained by God. Nor do I believe that every head of every government is ordained by God. How anyone can believe that God is responsible for every dictatorship throughout time is beyond me. How can anyone believe that God ordains anyone in authority who thinks the butchering of unborn babies is OK? Not only do these sickos think it’s OK but they make laws that protect this type of murder, and you want to try and tell me God ordains this, shame on you!

The Bible does not say that all governments are ordained God. The place this heresy comes from is Romans 13:1-7. I will say the main reason for this heresy entering into the Christian church is from the use of Bible translations other than the King James. I have searched many translations and outside of the King James every one without exception uses the wording “governing authorities” “the government” or “state authority” in verse one. These words are not used in the King James Version. Verses 1-7 of Romans 13 in every version except King James makes the reader believe that we are to blindly submit to any government we are under, no matter how evil they are. This is far from what the Bible says.

Hosea 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

This verse sounds like there are kings (governing authorities) that are set up not by God. Princes (governing authorities) that God knew not. Clearly from Hosea we see that not all governments are ordained of God. So either Christians have the wrong understanding of Romans 13:1-7 or God is lying in this verse. Sorry to say but all men are liars God is not. For me to really get into the true meaning of Romans 13:1-7 would make this blog way to long. What I decided to do is put together a small book on this subject. I will put up a blog saying when I have it done.

There is no justification in the Bible for this evil theology that God is responsible for all the evils committed by human governments throughout time and for all the murders and torture done by kings, prime ministers, presidents (governing authorities), military personal, law enforcement and the many other government agencies that have and do exist. This evil theology not only says God says to submit to these evils, but that He ordains them also. That is a sick and evil theology and shame on anyone that teaches it.

It has been said that Adolph Hitler’s favorite section of the Bible was Romans 13:1-7. And why wouldn’t it be? A man like this would love to have everyone believe that he is ordained of God. Whether or not this section of the Bible was his favorite doesn’t matter. Favorite or not it is a fact that he used these verses to justify his evil war and for the murder of six million Jews. So the many that teach this evil doctrine of all governments being ordained of God, also teach that Hitler was ordained of God. Come on Christian sheeple wake up.

If you teach or believe that all governments are ordained of God this is what you are saying. You are saying God ordains the murder of unborn babies. You’re saying God ordains the promoting and teaching of lies as a truth such as evolution. You’re saying God ordains the murder of innocent people. You’re saying God ordains the raping of innocent women by uniformed government personal. You’re saying God ordains terrorism. You’re saying God ordains the torturing and cold blooded murder of young children by uniformed government personal. You’re saying God ordains the outright genocide of ethnic groups. You’re saying God ordains the torturing and murder of Christians. You’re saying God ordains any horrific evil that any governing authority wants to commit. I say GOD DOES NOT ORDAIN THESE THINGS and I will stand and teach against these evils until the day I die or until the day they take me away to one of the concentration camps they are setting up in this country, whichever comes first.

I think what I hate the most about this evil doctrine being taught in our churches is that it teaches Christians that it is OK to say and do nothing as their governments teach lies as truth, murder unborn babies, murder innocent people or any other ungodly acts that world governments do. I will say that God may allow these things to happen, but in no way does He ordain them.

When we believe this wicked teaching that all governments are ordained by God, we open the doors to an endless flood of terror and evil that we must accept and submit to. After all we must submit to the governing authorities because they are ordained of God. YAH RIGHT!!!

Just A Speck

When you look at the midnight sky at the billions upon billions of sparkling stars and a moon full and bright, does it make you wonder about how great and wonderous this universe really is? Does it bring to mind how small in comparison is this tiny speck called earth? Does it make you think about how short our time is on this tiny speck called Earth in comparison to the eternity of space? We are each just a speck on a tiny speck in an endless sea called the universe.

Yet it is not the Rings of Saturn, or Milky Way, it is not the Helix Nebula, or the Egale Nebula, it is not the Orion Nebula or Andromeda Galaxy that is the most special of all the endless wonders this universe has to offer. No it is none of these, it is that tiny speck called Earth that stands alone as the most special place in this universe.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

It is the world, that tiny speck called earth that God loved so much that He gave His Son for. There is no other place in this universe God has done this for. Even more amazing than that is the fact that it is those specks called humans on that tiny speck called Earth that Jesus died for.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

We are each just a speck on a tiny speck called Earth in an endless sea called the universe. Yet God became flesh and died for us that we may have eternal life through Him. What an amazing thing to do for just a tiny speck called man.

Does it make you wonder how God so loved a sinner, just a speck such as you and I that He died so that we may live?

George Washington’s Farewell Address and Political Parties

All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests.

However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.

I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.

This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.

There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government and serve to keep alive the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of a monarchical cast, patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.

It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those entrusted with its administration, to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart, is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position. The necessity of reciprocal checks in the exercise of political power, by dividing and distributing it into different depositaries, and constituting each the guardian of the public weal against invasions by the others, has been evinced by experiments ancient and modern; some of them in our country and under our own eyes. To preserve them must be as necessary as to institute them. If, in the opinion of the people, the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit, which the use can at any time yield.

This is only an excerpt but clearly exposes the left-right party paradigm and how dangerous it is to a constitutional republic. We should have listened to our Founding Fathers.
